PARKING in Alma Street has always been a nightmare due to yellow lines one side and petty restrictions on the other but in the 20 years I have lived in the street I have never known these measures so aggressively enforced as the last six months since support officers came on the scene.I am disabled but do not qualify for a parking space and my partner is a pensioner and my carer so we need to be able to park close to the house. This is becoming more and more difficult and residents are being issued with fixed penalty notices. If the police and council put as much effort into stamping out crime and antisocial behaviour as they do in prosecuting residents then this town would be a much more pleasant place for us to live in. Is it too much to ask after 20 years and more for town centre residents to have parking permits?E Baigent - Alma Street, Weston
