I read the article about teens in Portishead being bored and I agree. I am 16 and I think that Portishead is very boring for people of my age. We like to be out and about and having a laugh. My parents and many of my friends' parents have no problem with us going out but as long as we're not just hanging about on the streets. But where else is there for us to go? We can't go into pubs because we're too young and we can't afford the bus fares to go outside of Portishead (even if we work which I do) because they're just too expensive to use consistently. It is £4.50 for a child return to Bristol. For an over 16s fare it is £6.50. I think that as Portishead is increasing in size it is in desperate need of somewhere for teenagers to socialise like an under 18s bar and dance. There should be some nights where it's for 15-17 year olds as well to get the older teens separate from the younger ones.Marie-Therese Ballesty
