SINCE its peak in Edwardian times, Weston has been in decline.
It is a town which cries out for trams. It would not be difficult to build a tram link from a park and ride at Worle to the seafront. The pre-war tram service along the seafront should be reinstated.
Weston would also be ideal for cycling. When there was a large amount of money on offer from Central Government to develop cycling in the town, North Somerset Councillors refused to support a bid.
We need a district council which would care about Weston and the surrounding district.
