A THOROUGHLY enjoyable evening at the Blakehay with Nicholas Parsons and his renditions of the poetry and prose of Edward Lear, and an insight into his life and times. In a truly talented performance Nicholas Parsons, aged 84, worked unscripted for two hours keeping his audience enthralled, amused and marvelling at his remarkable memory and knowledge. But I wonder what he thinks of us. Only a handful attended. The cost of their ticket £5, not £15 or £50 and, dare I say, some appeared not to have bothered to change from their working clothes.D RAWLINGS (MISS)Address supplied
