For those who have noticed the water level in the Marine Lake at Weston going down over the last few days, this is not as a result of evaporation in the hot weather, 'faulty workmanship' or children emptying it with their buckets, but is due to a bit of mindless vandalism by persons trying to force open one of the sluice gates.
