MR LEINICHEN'S children would be very welcome at St Martin's Church of England Junior School in Worle letters November 19 - Always to expand to a junior school.
Children at St Martin's have benefited from improvements to the school over the past few years - notably a large modern information technology suite which won a design award.
We can't do too much about the look of the school buildings - however, our buildings do offer many advantages - for example: spacious classrooms; a large central assembly hall; a gym; separate dining area.
These are all features not always found in junior and primary schools.
St Martin's also has a newly refurbished play area for our youngest children and was the first school in North Somerset to have a Play Pod to enhance children's play at break times.
We wish Worlebury St Paul's School well with their plans and are pleased that these have been given approval - as reported elsewhere in the Mercury Residents fail to stop school's extension.
St Martin's has not and is not standing still. It is a large vibrant school and we are also making plans for the future.
