AS SOMEBODY who cycled all along the prom each day from Knightstone to the Grammar School in the 1950s, may I congratulate the district council, and Cllr Elfan Ap Rees in particular, upon their decision to take professional advice from an artist so that the works to the sea wall will be sympathetic and 'in line with the original one'. The integrity of the bay from Knightstone, to the Royal Sands is an essential part of Weston's heritage, as well as being a vital tourist attraction.FRANK S H BIRCH - Chinley, Derbyshire
