BLISS, ecstasy, joy, delight, happiness, peace, just my feelings at having the road closed in our village of Banwell. We live beside one of these so-called calming measures that someone in their ignorance thought would help us out. So you understand our thankfulness that for a short time, we won't be woken at all hours of the day and night by the endless heavy lorries that bang and bump on this hump by our home. Can anyone explain to me and the long-suffering people of Banwell where all these heavy vehicles have been re-routed while this work is being carried out? Why can these measures not be a permanent resolution? We have suffered far too long. I even overslept on the second day, as it was so blissfully quiet.Tonight someone in a pinky-coloured Corsa moved the barriers by the butchers, drove through and left it all open. It beggars belief!NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED
