Well done to Mary Ponsonby for taking a stand and calling for people to boycott the 'psychic fair' in Nailsea. It is high time that Christians stand up for what is right. Allowing such an event to take place opens the door to vulnerable people being drawn into something which they do not understand. Probing into dark spiritual issues can be psychologically damaging. We have known of people who have become involved who have needed extensive counselling. The Bible clearly warns us against these practices (Deuteronomy 18: 10-12)Additionally, the timing of this coinciding with Remembrance Day is particularly insensitive. It detracts from remembering those who have given their lives or are currently risking their lives for their country. Of course, the person who exemplifies this most is Jesus himself. Remember He said: "No one has greater love than to lay down his own life for his friends." (John 15:13) He did just this for us.Mrs Hughes, Mrs Brennan and Mrs Sutcliffe, Ms Perry, and Miss HannenConcerned Christians from Yatton
