THE developments taking place along the seafront, together with the advent of our new Pier, suggest that it might be appropriate to consider a new name for the front, in place of The Promenade, and more in keeping with its new opulence!
THE developments taking place along the seafront, together with the advent of our new Pier, suggest that it might be appropriate to consider a new name for the front, in place of The Promenade, and more in keeping with its new opulence!
A minor upgrade might give us Weston Esplanade, although that has been done elsewhere in the UK. Surely we are ready for something grander, a marketable title to 'reel in' the visitors. How about: "Weston Corniche."
Would that be grand enough to match the new sea front? What do readers think?
