WHAT a disappointment and an eye opener it has been since coming to live in Weston. Already I have seen enough to make me wish I had never come here. The town gets dirtier, with pavement's so dirty it's disgraceful. Its litter problem and vandalism is very obvious. Who is to blame - the people or the council? The council could do more certainly, and regularly wash the streets, as other towns do, especially with so much money in the kitty! There is no excuse. And why is the council so 'boneheaded' about keeping dogs off the beach? Every time I drive past the sea front I see people with their dogs. But the notices are still there to say dog owners will be fined between March and September. Why is the council so wimpish about the problem? We certainly have with dog mess. I refuse to set foot on the beach.I would rather catch a bus to Burnham where there is a ban on dogs all year round; or go to Clevedon, for a peaceful walk along their delightful pier, which is so popular with anyone looking for peace and quiet. And with the never ending construction sites being allowed to cram even more houses in, taking away our views, making Weston a suburban sprawl, adding to the already serious problem of congestion, which will in time destroy this as a seaside town.NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED
