READING about the petition handed in which 20,000 or so people signed, I do wonder how many of these people actually use a swimming pool, go tenpin bowling or visit a picture house on a regular basis. The youth of today need all the help they can get if they are to survive and grow up into responsible adults. Anything to keep them off the streets and keep their minds active must be a plus.I have grandchildren and they must want a modern, up-to-date, entertainment facility, which the new Tropicana will be, because they will not be moving the old bowling lanes to this grand new place. It will be new and right up-to-date; the same goes for the rest of the development. Take a look at the plans and see the water flumes, etc.Stop knocking it, and build something the younger generation need and will use.JOHN TAYLOR - Via email
