A decision on whether Birnbeck Pier’s crumbling north jetty will be demolished is set to be made by councillors in Weston-super-Mare today (Wednesday) – and we will be bringing you live updates. The pier’s jetty was badly damaged in storms last year and North Somerset Council’s planning committee will decide today whether it should be completely demolished. Reporter Grace Earl will be blogging live from the meeting during the afternoon.
