RIOU Claude Sadly passed away in Weston General Hospital on Wednesday 27th March 2024 aged 88 years. Born in Paris, Claude trained as a horticulturist, then came to live in the UK in 1958 after marrying his adored wife Christine. He joined Woodspring and Avon Council in 1976 as Parks Superintendent and a Council Officer. His important local designs included the popular tree lined Queensway Avenue. The funeral service will be held at Weston-super-Mare Crematorium on Friday 26th April at 4.30pm, for family, friends and old colleagues to celebrate the life of this much loved and respected husband, father and grandfather.
