Burnham hands over charity funds.


A host of community groups in Burnham have been handed a share of generous donations amounting to £13,000.

The town’s Moose Lodge and Ladies Circle groups have been fundraising this year and handed £5,631 to the Devon and Somerset Air Ambulance.

As well as this, £918 was donated to Children In Need and dementia support group Music For Memory received £750.

The celebration evening also marked the official handover of the Moose governor role.

Ron Fisher made way for his successor Jim Dolan.

The chosen governor’s charity will be Cots For Tots, which is a charity for sick and premature babies.
