Portishead Running Club members set new personal best times during the Weston Prom Series.

PORTISHEAD Running Club members enjoyed the final Weston Prom Run of the series.

The event has been well attended by members with many setting personal bests over the distance during the nine-race series. Congratulations to Duncan Manning (31.50) and Charlie Hurcom (34.02) who were first male and female runners home for the club. Also, congratulations to Mike Luke and Sam Elms for setting personal bests of 34.09 and 36.59 respectively.

Other results were. Nick Dyer (34.59), Beth Manning (35.24), Matt Palmer (35.48), Tim Haysom (36.29), Steve Corbett (37.29), Shelagh Wall (47.17) and Judith Dyer (49.29).

The Tyntesfield Ten proved ideal weather running conditions through the picturesque estate.

A well supported and sociable evening saw Pat Foley obtain eighth position overall with a time of 40.42.

Portishead Running Club meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm for social training runs. There is also a Wednesday evening session for ladies only, aimed mainly at beginners.
