A PELICAN will become a puffin on Monday when work begins on a road crossing in Burnham. The pelican crossing in Berrow Road near Manor Gardens will be upgraded to a puffin crossing during the work, which is expected to last four days.

The pelican crossing in Berrow Road near Manor Gardens will be upgraded to a puffin crossing during the work, which is expected to last four days.
The green man symbol for pedestrians will be replaced by a sign that flashes a red then green man for pedestrians and traffic lights for drivers.
In addition, the upgrade will enable improvements to service reliability and speed up future repairs.
