KEWSTOKE has welcomed a new community figure to the village.
Reverend Geoff Eales, the current vicar at St Peter's Church in Milton, has taken over the reigns at St Paul's Church following the retirement of Rev Natasha Schemanof on health grounds last year.
Rev Eales, who will not be moving from his Milton vicarage, said: "I'm thrilled to be adding a new dimension to my ministry.
"I'd never imagined myself in a rural setting, but I've found it to be a refreshing contrast to the suburban scene."
Rev Eales, who also recently became a governor at Worlebury St Paul's First School, will be assisted in Kewstoke by colleagues from churches including All Saints, Christ Church, St John's and St Paul's in Weston.
He added: "These are both exciting and challenging times.
