Councillors agreed to provide town council premises free of charge to groups at a finance and policy committee meeting on Monday.
Town council facilities will only be available to groups provided a town councillor attends the first meeting.
Councillor Mark Canniford said: "I am all in favour of providing the free first meeting to groups. If councillors are approached then they will be able to assist the groups.
"It gives groups the opportunity to get started and they may book the facility in the future as well.
