4.30pm. 19.09.07- A SUSPECTED armed robber broke into a betting shop in Weston and made off with cash from a safe. The theft occurred at Corals Bookmakers in Clevedon Road on Friday at about 7pm.
A SUSPECTED armed robber broke into a betting shop in Weston and made off with cash from a safe.
The theft occurred at Corals Bookmakers in Clevedon Road on Friday at about 7pm.
The offender entered the shop, claimed he had a firearm and assaulted a male member of staff before forcing him to open the safe.
The man is described as white, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, around 6ft tall, of medium to stocky build. He had a distinctive large nose and was described as having a red face.
He was wearing dark coloured loose fitting tracksuit bottoms that were slightly too short for him, a dark hooded sweatshirt and a dark coloured beanie hat which had a fold at the bottom. It is thought he had ginger hair.
