A FAMILY has raised thousands of pounds for a charity in memory of a loved one.
The Tucker family has raised £10, 910 for children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent in memory of nine-year-old Tori Tucker.
Tori was diagnosed with a brain tumour in April last year and died on New Year's Eve.
From September 2006, the family has fund-raised tirelessly with various events including a jumble sale, quiz, a 70s disco at Claverham Village Hall, and a dinner and dance at Mendip Spring Golf Club.
Rosemary Tucker, Tori's auntie said: "Friends and relatives have been so supportive of each event and local businesses have been very generous with raffle prizes.
"I work at Churchill Community School which held a gospel choir concert and raised over £1,000.
"My son Sam raised money by running the London marathon.
"We would like to thank everyone for helping to raise such an incredible amount of money.
