REVELLERS at Weston's carnival are being urged to have fun, but stay safe.
Extra police officers will be on duty for the event to ensure it runs smoothly.
Police are expecting around 60,000 extra people in the town to watch the procession.
Chief inspector Nick Walker of Avon and Somerset Constabulary, said: "We want everyone to have an extremely safe and enjoyable time and will roll out well-rehearsed plans to stamp on any alcohol-fuelled antisocial behaviour or public order offences during the evening.
"Our message is simple - don't come to Weston if you plan to misbehave.
