THE Helicopter Museum in Weston has held its first wedding reception.
The venue, which is the largest of its kind in the world, hosted the bash for Katja and John Collins, who are both transport enthusiasts.
The happy couple arrived at The Heliport, in Locking Moor Road, in a 1960s double-decker, red London bus last weekend.
Some of the helicopters were moved to accommodate the wedding party and a museum guide was on hand to show guests around the many exhibits.
The bride was treated to an unexpected wedding present - a helicopter flight - when the volunteers who were working at the event discovered she had never been on a helicopter ride clubbed together.
Museum operations manager Lee Mills said: "The whole evening was an overwhelming success. The guests really enjoyed themselves and could not believe this was the first wedding reception the museum had ever hosted."
