11 am. 20.08.07 - A WINDSURFER had to be rescued by the RNLI in Burnham yesterday (Sun) after his mast broke during the strong winds.
The 37-year-old lost his surfboard due to the stormy seas in Bridgwater Bay and was left floating in the estuary with only his sail.
Burnham's jetty manager called RNLI crews after two police officers found the man's surfboard.
The man and his sail were taken safely back to shore.
