CRIMINALS in the Cheddar area could soon be caught on camera as the police launch a new weapon to tackle antisocial behaviour.
New Cheddar police sergeant Mike Tripp has applied for funding for a hat camera, which is worn by officers as they patrol the streets.
The device, which is attached to a strap around the officer's hat, records whatever the police see and the footage can be used to prosecute offenders.
