AROUND 200 dog owners took to Weston seafront once again to protest against a new beach ban on dogs.Colin Granner, of Langport Road, Weston, led a parade of pet owners along the seafront for the second time to demonstrate against a ban on canines on the sands in winter between the Royal Sands development and the Tropicana.North Somerset Council introduced the new rules for health and safety reasons. Hundreds of letters from protestors, both residents and regular visitors, have flooded into the Town Hall as part of a campaign to get the rules revoked.Mr Granner said: "We hope the council will take notice and the newly elected councillors will change the ban or at least give us an indication they will consider a change."If this does not happen by the end of May we will have to think about taking some more action.
