STAFF and students at a Portishead school were celebrating this week after officially gaining a place in the Guinness Book of Records.Pupils, teachers and parents at St Peter's School broke the world record for the biggest ever tombola at the annual Christmas fayre.The tombola, which raised £1,500, was organised by the School Association and saw 4,100 prizes weighing down the tables.Items in the raffle even included a pen donated by Prime Minister Tony Blair.This week the school received official confirmation of its record when it received its official certificate to confirm it was the world record holders. St Peter's School Association chairman Tracey Fowler said: "Everyone had a painstaking wait while Guinness World Records processed our claim, inspected the evidence and decided whether or not to make the award.
