A BUDDING actress from Weston has been chosen to star in popular musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in Bristol.Eight-year-old Dominique Skinner, of Elmsleigh Road, has only been taking drama classes for the past six months but has been picked to play one of the lead roles in the well-known production about a magical, flying car.Dominique is playing Jemima Potts, the daughter of the main character Caractacus, who has been played by Michael Ball in the West End production.She said: "I'm thrilled. I haven't seen the show but I've seen the movie. I'm very excited about it."Chitty Chitty Bang Bangs opens at the Bristol Hippodrome on March 9 and will be showing for 13 weeks.Dominique, who attends Uphill Primary School enjoys playing the piano and singing, takes acting classes with The Dance Company in Worle and learns ballet and modern at the Alexander School of Dance. She will be sharing the role with five other children from across North Somerset and joins a cast and crew of more than 70, including 10 dogs.
