HAY bales, a band where the singer sawed himself in half midway through the show and a cake with a basset hound on it were among the highlights of the wedding day of Heather Pickstock and Steve Foan.The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at All Saints Church, Wraxall, surrounded by family and close friends.Heather, who is editor of the North Somerset Times, wore an ivory sleeveless chiffon dress while Steve, a school caretaker, opted for a cream suit, pink shirt and gold waistcoat.Heather was attended by six bridesmaids and three page boys, who included her step grandchildren Sharna, 10, Stevie-Lee, aged nine, and Kia, aged four.A reception followed at Wraxall Village Club where guests were entertained by madcap band Tex Braithwaite and the Biryani Brothers whose show included special props such as a saloon and full sized cactus and a nail biting sawing in half of the lead singer Tex halfway through the show.The pair enjoyed a honeymoon in Devon.The couple would like to thank friends Dinkie and Mark for putting on a fantastic reception meal and cake and for decorating the venue, Sue and Chris Jefferies for providing the wedding car, the fabulous Tex Braithwaite and the Biryani Brothers, Mark and David our press photographers for capturing the day on film, Wraxall Village Club committee and the wonderful barmaids, CH Marsh Florists, the Rev Rosey Lunn, Martyn Davis of Nailsea Horticultural Society and all their friends and family who shared their special day.
