Cockapoos and German Shepherds strolled across the beach to raise funds for an animal charity.
Almost £170 was raised by year six children from Worlebury Primary School, in Woodspring Avenue.
The children have been learning about the Bristol Animal Rescue Centre as part of their project called ‘what is the circle of life?’
Youngsters explored the circulatory system of humans and animals in their science work before looking in-depth at the work of the rescue centre in providing care for animals across the area.
This inspired the children to hold a charity dog walk to raise money for the rescue centre.
The total amount raised, £164.90, will go towards animal welfare.
Walkers paid £2 per dog to take part.
Teacher Truon Ellis said: “The children have enjoyed completing a project, which has enabled them to offer support to a vital charitable organisation within the local community.”
