Is there anything better than enjoying a lazy evening in Weston-super-Mare, watching the sun come down with a delicious cocktail in your hand? The resort’s food and drink industry has changed significantly in recent years and there are lots of great cocktail bars in Weston to enjoy – here is a selection of some of the best available.
Brunello Lounge, Beach Road, Weston
This cosy restaurant-come-bar opened in early 2017 but has already become a very popular addition to Weston’s night life. It has its own cocktail menu and it means there is bound to be something which tickles your tastebuds, without hurting your wallet.
Bistrot Pierre, Beach Road, Weston
With a relaxed atmosphere, Bistrot Pierre’s decadent style makes it the perfect venue for a drink in the evening. Boasting panoramic views of Weston’s beach and seafront, there really is no finer spot to watch a beautiful sunset and enjoy a fine cocktail. While not the cheapest place to visit in Weston, it is unquestionably one of the best.
Bonds Wine Bar, Walliscote Road, Weston
Away from the seafront there are other great places to enjoy a glass of wine or a pint. However, Bonds’ cocktails remain its crowning glory and it has a wide selection of tipples to choose from, including old favourites such as a mojito. But, if you know your cocktails, you can ask the bar staff to make you a drink of your choice and they will be happy to help. Situated conveniently close to Dolphin Square and the Odeon cinema means its the perfect place to spend an evening.
The Imperial, South Parade, Weston
With live music playing often on a Friday and Saturday night, The Imperial is a wonderful venue to enjoy a cocktail with friends. Local bands are often given the chance to showcase their unquestionable talents and it means The Imperial is always a lively place to visit on the weekend. At other times of the week though it is a sedate and hugely relaxing spot – you would not know it is just yards away from Weston’s bustling High Street and town centre!
Unwined Wine Bar, South Parade, Weston
Despite its name, Unwined is a fantastic venue for cocktail-lovers. While smaller than some of the other bars on the list, what it lacks in space it makes up for in ambience. Just a two-minute walk from The Playhouse, it is a popular spot for a pre-theatre drink.
Loves Café, West Street, Weston
With sofas and an intimate feel, Loves is one of Weston’s best kept secrets. Tucked away a little out of sight compared to some of the other bars on this list, it rewards those who search for it. With live music at weekends and tasty food on offer too, Loves offers something different to Weston’s nightlife.
Cabot Court Hotel, Royal Parade, Weston
Part of the Wetherspoons chain, the Cabot offers a large number of cocktails and pitcher options. It has several floors and dozens of tables and is perfect for large groups and those seeking for a cheap night out in Weston.
