The family of a ‘beautiful’ 17-year-old who died in a car crash near Banwell last week have paid tribute to their daughter.
Fiona Braidwood, a student at Churchill Academy, was killed when her car drove off the road on Wolvershill Road, between West Wick and Banwell, last Wednesday morning.
In a joint statement, her family said she had ‘enjoyed life to the full’ and enjoyed ‘oustanding’ academic achievements, having been accepted to study Geography at Durham University this summer.
They wrote: “Fi was a beautiful, happy young woman who blossomed at Churchill Academy where her academic achievements were outstanding.
“She was very determined and focused on achieving her goals in all aspects of her life and was someone who had the confidence to be herself and follow her dreams.”
