Police are investigating an incident in a Weston-super-Mare park, after a man was found lying unconscious.
The man, who has not been named, was found in Ashcombe Park at around 8.30am this morning (Thursday).
Ambulances and police arrived were called to the scene soon after and the man was treated and taken to hospital. Although he soon regained consciousness, he has so far been unable to remember how he got to the park.
Neighbourhood Inspector Sharon Bennett said: “The man does not appear to have any visible injuries and we’re waiting on a medical examination to help us understand what has happened.
“The park has been closed and house-to-house enquiries are being carried out so we can be sure whether or not anything untoward has happened.”
The Mercury will provide updates when we have them.
