Plant, baking and craft connoisseurs flocked to a packed hall on Saturday for Sandford Gardening Club’s annual village show.
There were more entries than ever before in wide variety of categories, with 16 individual awards handed out to competitors.
A plate of three varieties of biscuit, made by Christa Laity, was crowned best in show in an unprecedented decision by the judges.
An auction was also held to raise money for the club.
Chairman Shirley Keeble said: “I think that everyone who came to support us had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed their day.
“The club celebrated its 40th anniversary last year and we hope to continue for many years to come.”
