Organisers of an open day on behalf of The Children’s Society in Winscombe have raised a four-figure sum for the charity.
More than 130 people visited Paul and Mo Matthews’ annual event, which has been held for the past 18 years and has grown into a village institution.
A total of £1,395 was raised, with visitors enjoying lunch, afternoon refreshments and the chance to chat to friends and neighbours.
Paul said: “Thanks to everyone who came along for a really nice lunch and afternoon tea, and also to our great helpers and supporters.
