A LUCKY small and medium sized enterprise will win a £2,000 package of goodies to get better prepared for Making Tax Digital when it comes into force next April.

Chartered accountancy firm Albert Goodman, which has offices in Taunton and Weston-super-Mare, is running a competition for SMEs with the winner scooping an iPhone 13 Pro Max, a two-year subscription to Xero and tickets to the firms Xero training sessions.

To be in with a chance of winning, businesses need to go via the Albert Goodman website www.albertgoodman.co.uk/enter and complete their entry form.

They need to support this with a photo that best represents a typical ‘day in the life’ of their business and submit this by Friday, October 12. The more creative the entries, the better.

Katie Hodge, tax manager at Albert Goodman, said: “Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is something that will affect a significant amount of businesses and is a key part of the government’s plans to make it easier for individuals and businesses to get their tax right and keep on top of their affairs.

"Some are already ahead of the game, but for those that are not as prepared, we want to offer a fun and engaging way that will help them put this firmly on their business radar.

"We look forward to seeing all the entries as I’m sure the business community will not disappoint.”
