A WOMAN has been jailed after police find a 'large quantity' of class A drugs at her home in Weston.

Lisa Boyd was sentenced to four years and six months last week after around 10kg of heroin and cocaine was found at her home in Hildesheim Close.

The 31-year-old was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on November 1 after she pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply.

Police found the illegal substances in June earlier this year.

Officer in the case, PC Tim Manning from operation remedy specialist drugs team, said: “This custodial sentence handed out by the courts, reflects how serious Avon and Somerset Police treat drug dealing in our communities.

“Illegal drugs have a devastating impact on people and negative consequences for neighbourhoods.

“Police officers from across the force will continue to work tirelessly to bring further offenders to justice.”
