People living in Weston and the surrounding area can write their wills with solicitors for a fraction of the normal cost next month.

Weston Hospicecare will host a Make Your Will Week in partnership with solicitors in North Somerset and Sedgemoor from February 20.

Residents will be able to make appointments with participating solicitors in exchange for a donation to the hospice.

Solicitors are giving their time for free to help the charity. Supporters are asked to make a minimum donation of £120 for a single will and £200 for a mirror will.

Kerri-Anne Beaumont, a fundraiser at Weston Hospicecare, said: “We are thrilled to offer local people the opportunity of writing their wills in aid of the hospice.

“We are so grateful to all solicitors who are giving up their time to help fund vital hospice care in our community.

“We really appreciate your gesture and being willing to provide this service to the public in support of the hospice.”

Make Your Will Week is in its eleventh year having started in 2012.

Last year, it raised £7,071 to help local people with life-limiting illnesses make the most of the time they have left.
