Students at Worle Community School Academy have received Hero Awards for their acts of kindness.
The students were put forward for the 'Do You Know a Hero' campaign by parents and teachers for their can-do attitudes and positive outlook.
The Priory Learning Trust initiative saw them rewarded with prizes sponsored by the Grand Pier, including a free rides pass.
WCSA careers advisor, Leeza Cuthbertson, said: “It is wonderful to mark the achievements of these students and their amazing acts of kindness, generosity, and hard work.
“They are making their teachers and families' world a better place and most definitely deserve their Hero Awards.”
In memory of former student Jill Dando, a BBC journalist, the students helped to set up their own newspaper, called Good News Post, which focuses on positive, upbeat stories from the community. This is one of the ways that they helped to spread their cheery outlook.
