PLANT Skills Bootcamp participants at the Construction Training Centre have recently been visited by potential employers and given 'speed interviews' to gain an insight into what opportunities are available.
The training centre is home to those wanting to retrain, upskill or begin a career in the trade industry.
The employers who attended were Hays Construction, Kier Construction and Milestones Trust. Each organisation provided an overview of their company and what employment opportunities are available.
Following this, the learners were able to have one-on-one ‘speed interviews’ with each of the employers, to discuss what they could bring to the company and if it would be a good fit.
Anna Coleman, skills project co-ordinator, commented on the day, saying: "We're thrilled to be able to help bridge the gap between training and employment.
"Having a close relationship with employers is crucial."
