A seniors section from a local golf club has donated over £3,500 to RSPCA North Somerset.
Weston Golf Club Senior’s Section captain John Whitewood presented fundraising manager of the RSPCA North Somerset Dawn Pawlett with a cheque for £3,750.
The money was raised by golf club members, throughout last year, to help and support the welfare of local animals in North Somerset.
And Whitewood said Weston were able to help out for such a good cause.
“I’m delighted to be able to support the RSPCA and provide much needed help for local animals here in North Somerset," he told Weston Mercury Sport.
"All charities are equally worthwhile but, of course, animals are unable to speak for themselves.
"We raised £3,750 through donations, sponsorship and a charity golf day and this was made possible by the generosity of friends and members of the Seniors Section of Weston super Mare Golf Club."
