BLAGDON residents and visitors are invited to the village's magical lantern parade.
On March 4, Blagdon will be transformed. The streets will be filled with light, music and laughter.
A walking band will also be present to help make a dark, cold, March night much more enjoyable.
As stated on the Blagsaey Arts website, independent local artists will have a chance to showcase their skill by making lanterns, which are based on a different theme each year. This year's theme is Under the Sea.
Previous themes include:
- Stars (2018).
- Nature (2019)
- Leap (2020).
- Social distancing (2021).
- Space (2022).
In the lead-up to the event, local schools and community groups will be encouraged to take part in lantern-making workshops, so that they are well-versed in the process.
Those that are interested in taking part can pick up a lantern-making kit from Blagdon Village Store or The Coffee Station.
Be sure to pay Blagdon a visit on Sat 4 March, for their magical lantern parade!
