LOCAL performing arts students will be performing The Mystery of Edwin Drood at the Tropicana next week.

The show, which is loosely based on Charles Dickens' famous unfinished novel, will take place on March 30 and March 31.

Third and fourth-year students from the Academy of Performing Arts (BA) Musical theatre programme at University Centre Weston will be entertaining Weston residents with this flamboyant rendition of the unfinished mystery.

The play will explore the mysterious disappearance of Edwin Drood following a conflict of love.

Alongside the Music Hall Royale (a self-proclaimed 'loony' musical troupe), the academy students will ask the audience to vote on the ending of this unfinished play.

The performance starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £8-£12.

For those that are travelling from outside of Weston, the Tropicana is located on Marine Parade, Weston-Super-Mare, BS23 1BE.
