THE Friends Of The Playhouse are back with their popular Saturday coffee mornings from 10am at the theatre in the High Street.

Hot drinks and biscuits will be available at upcoming events in April and May.

Here are the list of events lined up over the next two months:

Saturday, April 1: There will be the monthly raffle to win two tickets to a show of your choice (to be taken within three months), plus other prizes.

Saturday, April 8: There will be the grand Easter raffle with some ‘eggcellent’ prizes. Hot Cross Buns will also be available as well as the normal hot drinks.

Saturday, April 15: There will be quarterly draw of the Millenium Club, where the first prize will be £50. More details of the Millenium Club will be available on the day by speaking to a member of the committee.

Saturday, April 29: There will be the monthly quiz which this month will be a music quiz. A music quiz was held for the first time in February.

A spokesperson said: "The coffee mornings are open to members and non members so if you are passing the theatre on a Saturday morning please feel to drop in and you will be made most welcome. Some members of the committee will be on hand to answer any questions you have about the Friends.

"The quiz only costs £1 per person to enter you are not obliged to take part so just come along and listen if you want."

Tuesday, May 16, 2pm: Tickets are on sale for a talk by BBC Radio Bristol Breakfast Presenter James Hanson, who will give a talk called "Tales From The Radio".

A spokesperson added: "James is a very popular presenter and we are very lucky that he has found time in his busy schedule to come to the Playhouse to talk to The Friends Of The Playhouse. The event will be held in the upstairs bar so seating is limited."

Tickets are £6 for Members and £7 for non-members to include tea and cake.
