A recently retired Wrington Redhill football is doing press-ups throughout the month of March to raise money and awareness of Prostate Cancer.

Chris Bradley decided to do 3,100 press-ups, due a close family member diagnosed with the cancer last year.

Despite breaking some ribs whilst playing Veterans football for the Redskins, Bradley delayed the start until March 6 and is now well ahead of schedule having done 2,235 press-ups so far.

During the challenge Bradley has been posting videos most days, highlighting prostate cancer with facts and figures, along with a few press-ups to keep viewers as upbeat as possible.

This is the third press-up challenge Bradley has done to raise money for charity.

The first was mental health during the first Coronavirus lockdown and for the Teenage Cancer Trust in November two years ago.

So far Bradley has raised £515 for the charity and is on the lookout for more donations.

“The challenge has been going well since the delay at the start,” Bradley said.

“Certain body parts are sore but it's well and truly worth it! The support I've received so far has been amazing and it would be great if anyone else would like to donate to this wonderful charity!"
