WESTON Fire Station's first 'Have a Go Day' was a big success with local residents.
The event took place on Saturday, March 25, in the hopes of encouraging people to consider a career in the industry.
Attendees were able to get a taste of what it is like to be a firefighter, taking part in various exercises from a dummy drag to a ladder climb.
Members of the fire crew were on hand to ensure the safety of attendees and guide them through the fitness and practical tests.
Station manager Anna James said: “It was wonderful to host such a great group of potential firefighters at our event.
“If you’re interested in a career in the fire service, make sure you’re on our mailing list to get the latest information including exclusive booking on to our Have A Go events.”
