WESTON'S Community Health Events will be starting this week.

The sessions are aimed at answering any questions that local people may have, whether it be about Covid or other health concerns.

Staff at the events will be offering health checks and advice, along with Covid vaccinations (1st and 2nd dose).

In a bid to quell residents' health concerns, especially around Covid, the NHS has been contacting local health experts to answer most asked questions.

These include:

  • How can I get help for my long-Covid symptoms?
  • Is the Covid vaccine safe?
  • What treatments are available for Covid infections?
  • Can I have a spring booster?
  • What about the about the side effects of the Covid vaccine?
  • Can I still get the Covid vaccine?
  • Why do I need to get vaccinated if I've had the Covid infection?

Weston will be home to a range of events aimed at answering your health questions, whether they are Covid related or otherwise. The first will be held tomorrow (Friday, March 31).

The Somewhere to Go session, running from 10am until 2pm, is going to be directed at people who are experiencing homelessness and who may not have easy access to health and wellbeing information.

Sirona nurses who are based at the centre will be offering haircuts, vet checks, food packages and dental advice.

General health advice is also going to be given. If you are passing through and you have a query, it is urged that you take advantage of this invaluable service.

The event will take place in St. John's Church Hall 4a, Boulevard, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1NA.

Other upcoming events include:

  • We Are Super on Saturday, April 1 from 11am until 3pm. This will be located at The Sovereign Centre on the High Street, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset, BS23 1HL.
  • For All Healthy Living Centre on Tuesday, April 4 from 12.30pm until 6pm. This will be located on 68 Lonsdale Avenue, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset, BS23 3SJ.
