LOCAL children are going to be able to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III in style with a new coronation song.
Liz Ansell, a teaching assistant and a children's storyteller from Weston-super-Mare, designed the song to be sang to the familiar tune of heads, shoulders, knees and toes.
Liz said: "I have made it very simple with only four verses but the first verse can be sung on its own and will still make sense. I have done this to try and be as inclusive as I can be for early years and children with special needs.
"In addition to this, the song is accompanied by Makaton signs.
"I also wanted to do something special to commemorate the Kings coronation which is such an uplifting event for the whole country."
The song has been sent to schools across the region, including:
- East Huntspill Primary School.
- West Huntspill Primary School.
- Milton park Primary School.
- Oldmixon Primary School.
