A SWING Fever concert is being held next week to raise money for The Samaritans of Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset.

The Samaritans Benefit Concert will take place at the Borough Arms Pub, Locking Road, on Sunday, May 21. The performance will begin at around 7.30pm.

Entry is free, although residents will be encouraged to give a donation if they can. Any money collected will go towards funding the non-profit organisation, which aims to help those in need and prevent suicide.

A spokesperson from the charity said: "Swing Fever is a six-piece band and will play a mixture of jazz styles and popular music with a swing! The band has played in venues as diverse as for the Queen in Weston and Ned Kelly’s, a famous club in Hong Kong."
