The order made by Avon and Somerset Magistrates' Court sitting in Weston was made following a case brought by North Somerset Council.

The magistrates ruled that any vehicle or other property present in Locking could be removed, along with anybody living in it.

They added: "In addition North Somerset Council may enter the land and in relation to any vehicle or property found there take the above-mentioned vehicles together with all other property and persons are to be removed from the above mentioned land forthwith.

"North Somerset District Council may take such steps as are reasonably necessary to secure the removal of the vehicles, property and persons resident on land known as the Old Airfield in Locking, Weston-super-Mare.
